If the exposed summit ridge isn't for you, Little Meru is a wonderful goal. You follow the same route through wildlife and forest, and reach a high viewpoint looking across to the main peak and Kilimanjaro, without the midnight start.

All the wildlife and views of Meru's lower slopes, turning around at Little Meru with no summit night. This sample itinerary is a strong starting point and can be refined around your dates, interests and preferred accommodation level.
